Who Am I?

No, this isn’t an existential self-examination – just a little bit about me, the Wayward Wiccan. I’m a 30-something woman living in beautiful Missoula, MT with my two dogs, Shakes and Rosco, and my bird Nostradamus. I was raised Jewish, though not very strictly, and discovered Wicca when I was in my late teens. I’d been investigating religion and spirituality at that point, as I imagine many do when they’re that age, and just stumbled upon the Wiccan way. It struck a chord with me, so I started reading more and putting some of what I read into practice. I’ve been practicing for a little over 8 years now.

I’ve started this blog to write down my thoughts, rants, raves and musings about my religion. I probably don’t follow the same “path” that many other Wiccans and Pagans do, but I personally feel that’s a good thing. Everybody’s got to find their own way through this crazy journey we call life, and that’s exactly what I hope to do. In the words of the late great Jimi Hendrix, “I’m the one that’s gonna die when it’s time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to.”

Okay, so maybe it got a little existential there. Regardless, I hope you enjoy my blog in all its meager glory, and if not… well, that’s fine, too. Blessed be.
